Minlaton Project
(ELA 477/07)
The Minlaton Project (ELA 477/07) covers approximately 547km2. It is divided into two separate blocks along the west coast of the Yorke Peninsula. The northern block is located approximately 20 kilometres directly south of the historic Copper Triangle region. The southern block is centred on the town of Minlaton and is separated from the northern block by 20 kilometres. Both blocks are prospective for Iron Oxide Copper Gold Uranium (IOCGU) style mineralisation.

The northern block of ELA 477/07 is underlain by the same geology that made the Moonta and Kadina areas (that form part of the Copper Triangle) so productive. Although this Proterozoic sequence is hidden under 15 to 25 metres of superficial cover, regional gravity and aeromagnetic patterns confirm its continuation into the Minlaton Project area.
This same prospective geology is believed to continue to the southern block of ELA 477/07, but here it is obscured by a much thicker layer of cover which is 200 metres to over 900 metres in thickness.
The presence of these highly favourable geological conditions and the profitable history of the area in and around the Copper Triangle make the Minlaton Project a valuable addition to the portfolio of Phoenix Copper.
